We have the talent to develop your solution with our engineering team, or if preferred,  the flexibility to work with your chosen Architect. This approach provides a project that will be a long term solution completed on schedule without change orders.

Our experience with Guaranteed Energy Savings Projects speaks for itself as we have managed and installed (14) Indiana projects.

A. Hattersley and Sons Inc. is 100% vendor and product independent.  We have no vested interest in what products, services, or suppliers are used on a project.  However, we have a significant interest in ensuring that a high quality, cost effective solution is implemented that will generate the facility performance and savings required by the Legislation and expected by the Owner.

Energy Conservation Measures

  • Modify or replace HVAC systems, including humidity control
  • Install new automatic energy control systems
  • Modify or replace lighting systems
  • Install fixtures to reduce water consumption
  • Provide insulation of the facility or structure
  • Install new roofing products with added insulation
  • Install or provide new windows and door systems
  • Provide other ECM’s to reduce energy consumption
    and add to operational savings including labor costs, cost for contracted services, and related capitol expenditures

Performance Contracting Details

Indiana Code 36-1-12.5 allows Schools and Governing Bodies to enter into a Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract with a Qualified Provider. The main advantage of these agreements is that the building owner can participate in a project without a large upfront investment of capital. The energy and operational savings are used to pay for the investment.

A. Hattersley and Sons Inc. is Certified Provider by the Department of Public Works, which is required by the current Guaranteed Energy Savings legislation. We have a $10,000,000 bonding ability and maintain an “A+” rating.

A. Hattersley and Sons Inc. meets all the requirements for a Qualified Provider for Guaranteed Energy Savings Projects as mandated in the Indiana legislation, I.C. 36-1-12.5. Additionally, we are certified by the State of Indiana Department of Public Works as a Certified Contractor for HVAC and Plumbing.
